Carla DiMare is an experienced civil trial attorney who began her legal career serving two judicial clerkships, one in Massachusetts Superior Court and one in the United States District Court, in Boston. From there she worked for the City of Boston Law Department, which she thoroughly enjoyed, and handled a variety of cases in state and federal court, including personal injury, police misconduct, sexual harassment, and more. From there she worked for the Boston office of a mid-to-large sized Washington D.C. firm, and then began practicing in California, where she has handled a variety of cases in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level. As lead counsel and second-chair, she has successfully tried many jury trials in State and federal courts. She is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and California, and has practiced in other states through the pro hac vice motion process.

Ms. DiMare has represented numerous high-profile clients, and she has also handled disputes and cases for victims who did not have the financial resources to hire a lawyer, including personal injury, civil rights violations, and Title IX including Title IX sexual abuse, rapes and druggings in schools, colleges, and universities. She is a trained mediator and engages in private dispute resolution in her cases. She has written for the Huffington Post, The Los Angeles Daily Journal, and more. She has also spoken as a panelist for various community groups.

Pro bono work has been a significant part of Ms. DiMare’s life since she was fourteen. She is a Trustee for the County of San Diego Law Library Board of Trustees. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center, and the Graves’ Disease and Thyroid Foundation, both in Rancho Santa Fe. She has also been a CASA, a court appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children.

Ms. DiMare received her undergraduate degree from Boston College, and obtained her law degree at New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.
